Delivery and Returns

Thank you for choosing Maven Patterns! We are committed to providing you with a smooth and efficient delivery experience for your order. Here’s everything you need to know:


We post out on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday (excluding bank holidays).

We ship from the UK and aim to process your order within 2 business days, this may take longer during busy periods, but we will email you to let you know it has been dispatched.

  • UK – We use the reliable Royal Mail 48* service, with over 95% of deliveries arriving within 2-3 working days (excluding the day of dispatch and bank holidays) but are not guaranteed to arrive in this time frame. Please note your Royal Mail tracking will only show when a delivery has been attempted, not where your parcel is en route. Some goods may require alternative Royal Mail services.
  • EUROPE – We use Royal Mail International Tracked Service. We expect your order to be delivered in 5-12 business days after shipping.
  • REST OF THE WORLD – We use Royal Mail International Tracked Service. We expect your order to be delivered in 9-15 business days after shipping.

TAXES AND IMPORT DUTIES | EU and International customers outside of the UK are responsible for payment of any local customs fees, quotas, import duties, handling fees or local taxes that may apply in the receiving country. Please contact your local Customs Office for further information before placing an order. Maven Patterns cannot be held responsible for delays due to customs.

Occasionally, there are sometimes issues beyond our control that may have held your parcel up.

  • For the UK please allow 10 working days before contacting us about your order.
  • For the International orders please allow 30 working days before contacting us about your order.


  • Please ensure your shipping address is correct before submitting your order. We cannot be held responsible for returned or undelivered orders due to address errors. We can resend orders but there will be an additional delivery charge.
  • Please allow sufficient time for your item to arrive as these are approximate delivery times and could take longer to some destinations, especially during busy periods. We do not guarantee a delivery date and are not responsible for delays due to items held up by Customs or strike action. 
  • If a sewing pattern is needed in a hurry for a specific date, we recommend purchasing one our digital patterns.


Once you have completed the checkout your order will be displayed on the screen with links to download your file. Please make sure your email address is correct as you will also be sent a confirmation email with the link (if you can’t see it in your inbox check your spam/junk folder). You will also be able to access your patterns in the downloads area of your account. You are able to download your pattern up to 5 times and links expire after 1 year. Be sure to save your pattern safely on your computer where you can find it easily and if you can’t find it check the ‘downloads’ on your computer.

Still no luck? Email us with your order number, name and email address and we’ll be able to help. PDF patterns cannot be printed from mobile devices. You will need to download to, open and print the pattern on a desktop or laptop computer. You can view the maker instructions on a mobile device instead of printing them. PRINTED PATTERNS & PHYSICAL GOODS: We hope you are delighted with your order. Should you wish to return or exchange a physical product please contact us within 7 days of receipt by emailing us at [email protected]. Or you may use this cancellation form. You have the right to return a damaged or faulty product within 30 days of purchase for a refund or replacement. 

RETURNS OF CUT FABRICS & CUT HABERDASHERY: Please note that we do not give refunds or accept returns for cut lengths of fabric, trims or haberdashery unless they are faulty or damaged. Contact us if you’d like a swatch of fabric, we are happy to help! Product suitability is the responsibility of the the customer and we recommend that you always sample a product and test the suitability for any product for your needs. This is especially important when purchasing bulk quantities for production purposes

DIGITAL PATTERNS: Due to the instant access of digital patterns, refunds will not be given for digital products once they have been downloaded. 

E-GIFT CARDS: e-gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled


Print the cancellation form and post to us along with the items you wish to return, in its original packaging (please do not return goods without contacting us first).

  • Goods must be in their original condition – undamaged, unopened and unused. Cut patterns cannot be returned for any reason. Refunds on physical products will be issued to the original method of payment once we have received the item. 
  • We do not refund postage costs unless a fault or error on our part. You are responsible for postage & other return costs, the goods remain your responsibility until they have been received by us and we recommend using a recorded delivery/tracked postal service. 
  • You are also fully responsible for the payment of any international taxes levied for a return package, e.g customs duty and/or VAT. To avoid this charge, please clearly mark your parcel RETURNED MERCHANDISE.
  • Goods should be returned to us within 14 days of the cancellation. Once received, refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Refunds may take up to  7-10 working days to appear in your account.
