Users should conduct a final inspection of the completed garment to ensure safety before use.

5. Safety Considerations

Skin Contact Safety: Fabrics should be pre-washed to remove chemicals or residues that might cause skin irritation. We recommend testing fabrics for shrinkage, colorfastness, and allergen sensitivity before garment construction.

Tools & Machinery: Exercise caution when handling sharp tools (e.g., scissors, rotary cutters, pins, needles) and operating machinery such as irons and sewing machines. Always read the user manual for your tools and machinery.

Material Safety: Users are advised to use soft, breathable, and non-toxic materials for constructing garments. The responsibility for ensuring fabric compliance with applicable EU standards lies with the user.

Choking Hazard: Small components such as buttons or embellishments must be securely attached to prevent choking risks.

Flammability: Materials used should meet EU textile flammability regulations. The finished product should not be used near open flames or heat sources.

Child Safety Notice: The product is not designed for use by children. The pattern and finished garments are not suitable for children as they have not been tested for safety under child-specific regulatory standards.

6. Workspace Safety & General Guidelines

Stable Surface: Work at a sturdy, flat table to prevent machinary and tools from shaking or falling. Ensure the table is a comfortable height to maintain proper sewing posture to avoid strain or injury.

Lighting: Keep your workspace well-lit to ensure clear visibility of tools and materials.

Keep Your Space Organized: Keep scissors, pins, and other tools neatly arranged to avoid accidents.

Use a thimble when working with needles and pins to protect your fingers.

Avoid distractions (e.g., phones or loud music) while working with sharp tools.

Tools: Inspect tools and machinery regularly for damage, such as bent pins or dull scissors, and replace them as needed.

Maintain Focus: Always pay full attention when handling sharp tools to avoid accidents.

Keep Tools Secure: Store sharp tools in a safe, dedicated container when not in use to prevent accidental injuries.

Keep Away from Children: Ensure all sharp tools are out of reach of children and stored securely.
