Garment measurements are included within the instructions of each PDF Sewing Pattern.
HOW TO MEASURE:
You may find it helpful to enlist a friend. With a tape measure, measure your bust at the fullest part, your waist at the natural waist line (bend to one side to find your natural crease), and your hips at the widest part approximately 8” down from the waist. Do not cheat and pull it too tight!
Can’t choose between two sizes? No problem! We find very few ladies measure perfectly to a size chart, so all our sewing patterns are multi-sized in either small/medium/large or UK sizes 8 to 18, so you can blend between sizes. For tops and dresses, size should be based on your bust measurement and blend sizes at the waist and hips. For trousers and skirts it’s best to pick a size based on your hip measurement and adjust accordingly at the waist. You will need to cross reference body measurements with the garment measurement chart (included with each pattern), a looser fitting garment may give you the extra you are looking for – but remember that all garments need ease. Some is design ease to create the look of the garment (more design ease = looser fit, less ease for a fitted style) and some is wearing ease so you can move in the garment!
All of our patterns are drafted with a B cup.
