SUITABLE FABRICS
Light to medium weight woven fabrics that will gather nicely such as cotton poplin, cotton lawn, linen, barkcloth, chambray and lighter weight denims, satin & taffeta. A stiffer fabric will create a statement skirt that will hold its shape or choose a drapey fabric such as viscose for a softer looking silhouette.
The scallop hem detail will benefit from, and be easier to sew, in a stable fabric, such as a cotton poplin.
