Sew Sustainable Fair

LONDON: Saturday 22nd April 2023, 10am – 4pm / FREE ENTRY

The first Sustainable Sewing Fair is happening at Craft Central! Find sustainable sewing supplies, vintage and Eco-Fabrics, deadstock trims, organic haberdashery, workshops & liked minded makers.

We are so delighted to be taking part in the very first Sew Sustainable Fair at Craft Central in London! This is a brand new sustainable sewing supplies fair organised by Sarah of Olive Road London with the aim to bring together brands and makers with a similar ethos of sewing better for the planet, and making those eco supplies easily accessible to help you sew sustainably with less impact.

Exhibitors:

Sarah of Olive Road London – independent vintage fabric shop and co-founder of Fast Fashion Therapy, a sewing workshop that encourages the repair, up-cycling and remodelling of used clothes.

Nicki of Missy Mop Fabrics – specialising in deadstock fabrics

Melissa of Simply vintage Designs – all things vintage and handmade

Richard of James Tailoring – specialising in Eco and planet friendly alternatives to the usual sewing supplies and fabrics.

Sharon (me!) of Maven Patterns – independent sewing patterns designed with longevity of style in mind and I’ll be bringing along some of the Kleins Deadstock Haberdashery too – if you are looking for something specific let me know as I won’t be able to bring it all!

The Knit & Stitch Show!

We had so much fun meeting all of you lovely sewing people at the Sewing Bee Live Show, we’re doing all again next week at the Knit & Stitch Show at Alexandra Palace!

And we are taking lots of our delicious paper patterns with us.

Oh, my!

Currently, that is the only way to get hold of one of our beautiful patterns.

Yes, I know I may be a tad biased…but I’m not wrong, they really are quite lovely!

Each pattern is presented in a reusable wallet that closes with a velcro spot. No more ripped envelopes or pattern pieces slipping out and escaping when you’re not looking.

Inside the wallet, you’ll find the pattern and the Maker Instruction Booklet.

As always, you get a professionally graded pattern in either UK sizes 8 – 18 or UK S – XL (our Maria Apron and Wendy Smock PDF patterns currently go up to UK size large, but we will be updating them in the future to include the XL size). All the seam allowances are included and clearly marked on the pattern and in the Maker Instructions Booklet.
